Reliability Assessment
Based on 35 years of service data at Beach Benz
Beach Benz Experience
“The W126 is the car we recommend most often to clients looking for a classic Mercedes that can still serve as a daily driver. In 35 years, we have maintained hundreds of W126s and they reward proper care like no other car. The biggest concern on later models is the biodegradable wiring harness — we inspect every W126 that comes in and can replace affected sections before they cause problems. The KE-Jetronic fuel injection on the 560 models needs periodic attention but is very reliable once properly sorted. A well-maintained 560SEL is one of the finest driving experiences in the classic Mercedes world.”
