W211
E-Class
Overview
The W211 E-Class represented a massive technological leap with COMAND infotainment, Airmatic air suspension, and the Pre-Safe system. Early models (2003-2006) suffered from numerous electronic and quality issues, while the 2007+ facelift addressed many problems. The E55 AMG with its supercharged M113K V8 became an icon of the sleeper sedan category.

Reliability Assessment

Beach Benz Experience
“Early W211s (2003-2005) are some of the most problematic E-Classes we see. The 2007+ facelift models are significantly more reliable. We always check the SBC system cycle count and rear SAM module for water damage during inspections.”
