None of it is required — call us either way. But with these in hand we can usually narrow the problem down before your car is on the lift.

Year and model, or the VIN
The chassis code tells us which known faults apply. The VIN tells us exactly which engine and options you have.

What the car is actually doing
When it happens — cold start, under load, turning, braking — matters more than what you think the cause is.

Any warning messages
Read the cluster message word for word if you can. Mercedes wording is specific and it narrows things fast.

What has been done recently
Especially work done elsewhere. A surprising number of faults trace back to the last repair.
