If your Mercedes smells like a gym bag when the fan comes on, the filter is the first thing to change and the evaporator is the second.

How we approach it
Mercedes uses an activated charcoal cabin filter that traps far more than dust, and once it is saturated it restricts airflow and holds odour. We fit the correct element for your chassis, clean the filter housing, and where the smell persists we treat the evaporator directly and check that the case drain is clear — a blocked drain leaves standing water under the dash, which is what grows the smell in the first place.

Common questions
How often should the cabin filter be changed?
Every 12 to 20 thousand miles, and sooner if you park under trees or drive the 405 daily. It is included in most of our Service B packages.
The smell came back after a new filter. What now?
That points at the evaporator itself or a blocked drain. Both are straightforward to treat, and the treatment lasts far longer than a can of spray from a parts store.
