Diesel & BlueTEC Service
BlueTEC cars count down to a no-start when the emissions system faults. The clock is real, and the fix is not a code clear.
Signs you need this
- "Start not possible in X starts" countdown message
- AdBlue, DEF or emissions warning lights
- Limp mode, black smoke, or a strong diesel smell
- Hard cold starting or a rough first minute of running
How we approach it
We handle the whole diesel emissions chain: AdBlue tank heaters and injectors, NOx sensors, DEF quality faults, differential pressure sensors, forced DPF regeneration and replacement, EGR cooler and valve service, and glow plug systems including the seized-glow-plug extraction that scares most shops. On the mechanical side, OM642 oil cooler seals and swirl motor failures are routine work here. Where a car is stuck in a start countdown, we resolve the underlying fault and reset it properly.
What the job includes
- 01Complete emissions system diagnosis with Xentry
- 02AdBlue injector, pump, heater and NOx sensor replacement
- 03Forced DPF regeneration, cleaning or replacement
- 04EGR valve and cooler service
- 05Glow plug testing and extraction, including seized plugs
- 06Countdown reset after the underlying fault is corrected
Common questions
Can you just delete the emissions system?
No. Emissions defeat work is illegal in California and we will not do it. We fix the system so the car passes and drives correctly.
My car says it will not start in 12 starts. How long do I have?
Exactly that — twelve more starts. Bring it in before the counter reaches zero; once it does, the car is immobile and it becomes a tow.
Let us take a look at it.
Call and describe what the car is doing. We will give you an honest assessment before any work begins.
