OM642 Oil Cooler Leak (V6 Diesel)

The Mercedes OM642 3.0L V6 diesel engine, used across a wide range of models from 2005 to present, suffers from a well-known oil cooler seal failure. The engine oil cooler is mounted in the V of the engine between the cylinder banks, and its seals degrade over time, allowing engine oil to leak externally.
