W212
E-Class
Overview
The W212 returned to a more angular, conservative design language and proved to be a significant reliability improvement over the W211. It offered a range of efficient turbocharged engines and refined the 7G-Tronic transmission. The facelift in 2014 brought LED headlights, a new steering wheel, and the M274 four-cylinder turbo engine to North America.

Beach Benz Experience
“The W212 is a solid, well-built E-Class. The main watch item is the M274 timing chain on 2012-2014 models -- we recommend proactive replacement at 60,000 miles. The V6 and V8 engines are very reliable with proper maintenance.”
