Overview

The W108 and W109 represented the pinnacle of Mercedes-Benz engineering in the late 1960s. The W108 offered refined inline-six luxury, while the W109 300SEL 6.3 stuffed the massive M100 V8 from the 600 Grosser into a standard sedan body — creating the world's first super sedan. These cars pioneered safety innovations including crumple zones and a padded dashboard.

From Our Technicians

We have been working on W108 and W109 models for over 35 years. The 300SEL 6.3 is one of the most significant cars Mercedes ever built and we consider it a privilege to maintain them. The air suspension on the W109 is the biggest concern — we rebuild these systems in-house and keep the key seals and accumulators in stock. The M130 inline-six in the standard W108 is nearly indestructible with proper timing chain maintenance.
