Overview

The W108 offered refined inline-six luxury, while the W109 300SEL 6.3 stuffed the massive M100 V8 from the 600 Grosser into a standard sedan body — creating the world's first super sedan. These cars pioneered safety innovations including crumple zones and a padded dashboard.
