GL-Class
Overview
The X164 GL-Class was Mercedes-Benz's answer to the full-size luxury SUV segment, offering three rows of seating with genuine space for seven adults. Built on the same platform as the W164 ML-Class but stretched, it featured standard Airmatic suspension, 4MATIC all-wheel drive, and a choice of V6, V8, and diesel engines. The GL550 with the M273 V8 and the GL63 AMG (added late in production) were the performance variants.
